The Public Guardian and Trustee of Manitoba manages and protects the affairs of Manitobans who are unable to do so themselves and have no one else willing or able to act. The mission of the Public Guardian and Trustee is to protect the interests of Manitobans by providing professional and cost-effective trustee services of last resort that meet the needs of our clients.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Post-Secondary degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. An equivalent combination of education/training (such as an advanced diploma or certificate in Information Technology/Computer Science) and related experience may be considered.
  • Experience in systems analysis, application development, and testing in a limited-platform networked environment
  • Extensive working experience with the following: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS and C#.
  • Extensive working experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce a variety of written documents.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, management, and stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Experience with enterprise-level electronic document management systems.

Duties:

The Application Speciality is accountable for analyzing, designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing all Public Guardian and Trustee of Manitoba (PGT) applications, both custom and commercial off the shelf (COTS), to ensure system and service continuity, availability, and performance.

This position will focus on furthering PGT’s document management system (DMS), including business analysis, development, testing, implementation and support. Interfaces between the DMS and other systems will also be in scope for this position.
