Insight Global is seeking a Senior Commercial Project Manager on behalf of a leading landscape construction organization in the Ottawa area. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing commercial landscape and construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Plan the project
Collaboration with senior management Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required Call in for locate requests Provide submittals, shop drawings to architect, and order products for project
Implement the project
Execute the project according to the project plan Develop forms and records to document project activities Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
Control the project
Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual targets. Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures. Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly) Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements Through some initial oversight, assist with the mentorship and development of the operations staff. Prepare and submit Progress Payment Certificates (PPC's), along with billings to finance department within Company
Requirements
5+ years of experience in commercial landscape/civil construction 5+ years of project planning/coordination including budgeting A deep understanding of permits and specifications (TRCA, OPSS, OPSD) Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project Experience in completing estimates and bid submissions Experience with CAD Essential Requirements Clear and concise communication skills Valid driver's licence in good standing as well as a clean abstract

Schedule
10–12-hour workday Monday to Friday
Compensation
$115K - $150K per year + full benefits packages
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
