Summary Bell is currently seeking to fill a Summer Analyst, Corporate Strategy position (starting May 2026) within BCE’s Corporate Strategy and M&A team. The position is for a period of 3-4 months at either the Toronto or Montreal office.
The Corporate Strategy and M&A team supports a combination of BCE’s corporate strategy, corporate partnerships and ventures teams. The team provides high quality financial and strategic advice to senior management and officers of BCE and its subsidiaries, with the ultimate objective of enhancing shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Directors and Senior Managers with the development of long-range strategic initiatives
- Preparing clear, precise presentations from complex information for BCE Senior Management
- Conducting in-depth industry research to understand economic and technological trends
- Performing financial analyses to evaluate strategic opportunities
- Engagement in partnership management process with a focus on helping define, and then reach, the key goals of various Business Units
- Coordinating with members of the Bell operating units to obtain underlying business metrics, assumptions and raw data
- Work effectively with cross-functional groups to collaborate on special projects & initiatives
Critical Qualifications
- Strong and well-developed analytical skills along with an ability to communicate and present well-reasoned analyses
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
- Strong technical skill-set, particularly with respect to Powerpoint and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills along with a capacity to multi-task and prioritize when tasked with several projects simultaneously
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to ask pertinent questions when necessary
- Flexibility to work additional hours when the need arises
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and its players in Canada and internationally would be an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset
- Entering their final year
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
