About the role
We’re looking for a Strategic Procurement Category Specialist to lead category strategies, source and negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and support our Source to Pay (S2P) processes. In this role, you'll help secure high quality, cost effective materials and services, drive continuous improvement, mitigate supply risks, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams. If you bring strong procurement experience in manufacturing, solid analytical and project management skills, and a proactive, solution focused mindset, we’d love to hear from you.
Permanent Full-Time (40 hours)
Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (flexible); Hybrid
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
In this role, you will:
- Develop category strategies, source new suppliers, and lead strategic supplier negotiations.
- Manage supplier contracts, service agreements, and implement Source to Pay (S2P) processes.
- Drive cost improvement initiatives through detailed cost analysis and supplier/material evaluations.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies, monitor supplier performance, and stay current with market trends.
- Collaborate cross functionally to qualify materials, support cGMP/SOP compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement.
You have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Master’s and supply chain certifications such as APICS/SCMA are strong assets).
- At least 5 years of strategic procurement experience with strong knowledge of S2P, MRP/BOM/ERP systems, and Excel.
- Proven project management, business analytics skills, and a solid understanding of lean principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem solving abilities.
- A proactive, self driven mindset with a positive attitude, strong ownership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
