The Position:
We are looking to hire a reliable Shipper/Receiver for our shop in Calgary, Alberta. We offer a competitive hourly rate with overtime where applicable, and benefits (after a probationary period).
Employment is Full-Time, Monday-Friday Dayshift with overtime.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse role.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and shipping procedures.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with Canadian shipping regulations and customs documentation.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external carriers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions using inventory management systems.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation of goods.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing items, and work with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all shipping and receiving operations.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
