15 Wing, headquartered in Moose Jaw, is the centre of RCAF aircrew training and is comprised of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (CFFTS) and 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (CF Snowbirds) both located in Moose Jaw, SK. The Wing is the principal site of the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC). 15 Wing is responsible for three different aircraft platforms that include: CT-156 Harvard II, CT-155 Hawk, CT-114 Tutor, and any visiting aircraft.

You will be part of a team that works closely with the military customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality and efficient VFR air traffic services to DND, at Canada’s Most Notorious Military Airport. SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Fuel Services Lead, the FMO/Aircraft Fueller is responsible for the safe, efficient, and precise fueling of aircraft refueling equipment, as well as the operation of all Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) for airport and facility maintenance, including Snow and Ice Control (SNIC). This role also involves maintaining fueling equipment, conducting regular inspections, and supporting the overall operation of the fuel system to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The FMO/Aircraft Fueller must ensure all activities comply with established safety protocols and uphold the highest standards of operational readiness. Additionally, the role requires strict adherence to all Serco Canada Inc. policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Code of Conduct and Ethics and the Serco Management System.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely and accurately fuel various aircraft, ensuring correct fuel type and quantity.
  • Operate Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) for airport and domestic area maintenance, including Snow and Ice Control (SNIC).
  • Perform and document inspections of vehicles and equipment, report defects or issues to the Lead.
  • Conduct operator-level maintenance (e.g., replacing cutting edges, sweeper bristles, topping up fluids, changing tires, tightening components).
  • Maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) Fuel Program through regular quality control checks and inspections.
  • Ensure fueling equipment is clean and free of contamination to prevent fuel contamination.
  • Complete POL checks at the start of each shift and record vehicle data for statistical tracking.
  • Clean vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • Support fuel services cleaning and maintenance, including snow clearing around fueling areas.
  • Operate light vehicles and assist with airside/ground support duties as required.
  • Accurately record work hours daily in the Deltek system for payroll.
  • Ensure all assigned deliverables and reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Follow all Serco Canada Inc. policies and procedures, including QA/HSE programs and environmental regulations.
  • May act as Lead when required.
  • Demonstrate Serco Values and work practices in all duties.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Reliability security clearance; may be required to upgrade to Secret Level II depending on customer requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Possession of a Saskatchewan driver’s license Class 3A.
  • Minimal three years’ experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in Airfield Operation is required is an asset.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience required.
  • Possession of or the ability to obtain and maintain a Ramp Defensive Driving Course (RDDC).
  • Certification to operate vehicles on the airfield is required.
  • Previous experience operating equipment on an airfield environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Reliability security clearance is required. May be required to upgrade to Secret Level II (dependent upon customer’s security requirements).
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of one year of related experience.
  • High level of organizational skills necessary.
  • Experience in aircraft fuelling operations, with a strong ability to follow operational manuals and ensure accurate fuel accounting.

  • Must be adaptable and flexible in responding to changing needs and priorities. ·

  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth fuelling operations, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to assess situations quickly, prioritize tasks, and determine the best course of action to resolve fuelling issues while maintaining safety standards.

  • Ability to adjust to changing work environments and conditions, particularly during high-pressure situations or emergencies.
