Software Developer - Curam/Case Management - Senior (RQ10588) Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement | 400 University Ave, Toronto, Ontario (Onsite)
Contract: April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (254 business days, 134-day extension possible)
About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with 5+ years J2EE/Java expertise and 3+ years hands-on Mirative Cúram Social Program Management platform experience to develop and maintain enterprise case management applications. Our ideal candidate excels at translating technical specifications into production-ready code using Apache Ant, Maven, Tomcat, WebLogic/WebSphere, Oracle DB, and system integration technologies including SOAP/RESTful web services, messaging, and SFTP. They will provide technical troubleshooting, unit testing, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support across full SDLC.
This onsite development role requires Linux/Unix proficiency, Git version control mastery (pull requests, branching), and strong full-stack capabilities spanning front-end (JavaScript, XML, JSON) to back-end (SQL, PL/SQL, Spring Boot) with CI/CD pipeline experience and design patterns implementation.
What You'll Do
Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Cúram-based social program management applications with enterprise integrations.
Must Haves
- 5+ years J2EE JAVA-based software development.
- 5+ years Apache Ant, Maven, Tomcat, JavaScript, XML, JSON, WebLogic/WebSphere, Oracle DB, SQL, jUnit.
- 3+ years Mirative Cúram V7/V8 development (Certified Developer preferred).
- SOAP/RESTful Web Services, Messaging, SFTP integration experience.
- Linux/Unix, Git (pull requests, branching) hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical specs into working applications (analysis, design, coding, unit testing).
- Resolve/troubleshoot technical problems during implementation/production support.
- Knowledge transfer to development team members.
Experience And Skill Set Requirements Technical Skills (70%)
- J2EE/Java (5+ years); full-stack development.
- Cúram SPM platform (3+ years; V7/V8 certified preferred).
- Enterprise tools: Ant, Maven, Tomcat, WebLogic/WebSphere, Oracle/SQL/jUnit.
- Integration: SOAP/REST, messaging, SFTP.
- DevOps: Linux/Unix, Git branching/pull requests.
- Assets: Spring/Spring Boot, Swagger-UI, Postman, PL/SQL, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker/K8s, Azure Cloud.
Methodologies (15%)
- SDLC/Agile development knowledge.
- RDBMS design concepts.
- Risk identification/solution development.
Communication (15%)
- Strong team collaboration/relationship building.
