About the role

Your Opportunity:

This is your opportunity to contribute to patient care by providing accurate and timely Electroneurophysiology (EEG) recordings. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EEG technician to join our team! You will be responsible for setting up and operating EEG equipment, providing patient education and support while ensuring patient comfort and safety during the procedure. Transferring of patients and equipment is required.

Description:

As an Electroneurophysiology (EEG) Technologist, you will determine which ENP tests to perform based on clinical history, findings, and protocols. You will provide feedback to surgeons for early detection of intraoperative injury, allowing for immediate corrective measures and will resolve unusual or complex cases referred by the EEG Technologist I's or refers them to the appropriate individual(s)

You will implement, maintain and assess approved quality control procedures. You will participate in the recruitment and selection of staff and coordinate the orientation of new employees. You will also provide technical and problem solving advice to other EEG Technologists.

Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registered or eligible for registration with the CBRET (EEG). Diploma or Degree from an accredited electrophysiology program. Current CPR certification. Effective communications and interpersonal skills with patients, families and other staff. Ability to be flexible in dealing with changing/unpredictable situations.
