The Embassy is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated production house, specializing in live-action production, post-production, and animation for feature films, television, and commercials. We are an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands in film, television and advertising.

About You
You have experience (or a passion) for talent acquisition and HR administration. You will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for both creative and support roles, while also supporting day-to-day HR operations. You are highly organized and a strong communicator who can manage recruitment pipelines, coordinate onboarding, and handle HR processes with professionalism and confidentiality.
Your Role

Manage recruitment process, including initial interview screening, scheduling hiring manager interviews, and creating contracts for a wide range of roles (artists, production, and support departments)

Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience

Coordinate and support onboarding processes, including contracts, orientation, and probationary reviews

Assist with HR administration, such as maintaining employee profiles in the HRIS and processing contract extensions

Partner with managers and production on hiring needs, ensuring communication between all parties

Assist in organizing internal events and supporting studio culture initiatives

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and studio policies
Your Qualifications
-
0 to 3+ years of experience in recruitment and/or HR administration
-
Knowledge of recruitment practices and relevant employment legislation

Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment tools (experience with BambooHR and Cronofy is an asset)

Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships

Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
-
Experience in the VFX, animation, or games industry is an asset
