Working under the direction of the Manager, Digital Product, the Product Owner for Crew OpsMOD is responsible is responsible for representing business needs and ensuring the accurate, compliant, and reliable delivery of crew pay functionality within the Crew Pay environment.
This role combines strong operational expertise with product ownership accountability. The Product Owner ensures that delivered capabilities align with business priorities, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements, while delivering measurable value to the organization.
This role is suited for a crew professional who brings both deep domain expertise and the ability to lead product decisions. The Product Owner ensures that Crew Pay delivers accurate, compliant, and operationally sound pay outcomes that the business can trust.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities Product Ownership & Prioritization
- Own and manage the product backlog for Crew Pay OpsMOD-related capabilities
- Define, prioritize, and continuously refine business requirements based on operational needs
- Make informed decisions on scope, trade-offs, and priorities to maximize business value
- Partner with leadership to support product vision and roadmap development
- Act as the primary liaison between operations, business stakeholders, and delivery teams
- Engage stakeholders across Crew Scheduling, Tracking, Planning, HR, and IFS management functions
- Balance competing priorities to ensure timelines are met
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories
- Define acceptance criteria and ensure solutions meet business expectations
Validation & Quality Assurance
- Support testing strategy including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Interpret and apply collective agreement rules (CUPE)
- Ensure accurate configuration of pay rules within the crew pay system.
- Validate pay outcomes across standard and complex scenarios
- Identify, assess, and resolve pay discrepancies
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience in crew scheduling, planning, tracking, or pay environments (typically 3+ years preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to validate complex pay scenarios
- Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements
- Experience with crew systems (IFS, Jeppesen, Navblue,) is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy

Conditions of Employment:
