About the Role

We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist who will work under the direction of the Farm Supervisor and in close collaboration with the farm team to support the health, well‑being, and development of all bulls on site. The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with rotating weekends.

What You Will Do:  

  • Feeding and caring for bulls.
  • Stocking of supplies (hay/grain/bedding) by skid steer operation.
  • Machinery & equipment maintenance.
  • Field work including hay production, manure spreading.
  • Clipping, handling and training of young bulls.
  • Support as needed to veterinarians.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Good knowledge of livestock care.
  • Prior experience working with large animals.
  • Valid Driver's ID.
  • Ability and experience operating farm equipment.
  • To be physically capable of handling bulls, walking/standing for extended periods and other physical tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in at team.
  • Ability to follow Biosecurity protocols and related SOP’s.

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate 

This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Brockville location. This position offers a minimum starting salary of $21/hour, with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
