Overview
The Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Research Services and the Executive Assistant, VPRI. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of department and special events. This position is also responsible for monitoring and posting to social media while coordinating content from researchers and research facilitators. This is a part-time position, ending March 31, 2026. Flexible hours may include some overtime.
Responsibilities
Planning and implementing an in-person event platform for Research and Innovation Week to include:
- Schedule and coordinate events, services, and vendors
- Event budgeting and sponsor management
- Support the production of communication and social media materials
- Administrative assistance for meeting scheduling and minute-taking
- Submit updates for webpage content
- Support event session hosts and speakers
- Day-of event coordination both on and off campus
Qualifications
- College or university education in Administration, Marketing, and/or Event Management.
- Experience in planning and implementing large-scale events and administrative duties.
- Drivers license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
