Context:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to analyze and optimize workflows, layouts, and processes across our operations and maintenance support facilities. In this role, you will drive efficiency, safety, and ergonomics by shaping building and yard layouts, equipment placement, and circulation paths, while partnering closely with operations, facilities, and systems teams to embed industrial engineering best practices into design and change initiatives.
Missions/Main Duties:
You combine deep industrial engineering expertise with a practical, hands‑on approach to operational improvement. You are adept at translating requirements into efficient layouts and process designs, and you work cross‑functionally to implement changes that enhance performance, safety, and the employee experience.
- Analyze and optimize Depot workflows, layouts, and processes, including maintenance, inspection, cleaning, storage, and material flows.
- Provide input to building and yard layouts to improve efficiency, safety, and ergonomics.
- Develop and review equipment layouts, workstations, and circulation paths.
- Support the definition of operational requirements for Storage & Maintenence Facilities
- Collaborate with operations, facilities, and systems teams to embed industrial engineering considerations into design and changes.
Profile/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering, process design, and optimization within maintenance/operations facilities or comparable environments.
- Demonstrated experience in workflow analysis, layout optimization, material handling, and ergonomic assessments.
- Familiarity with depot operations is an asset.
- Recognized expertise in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering; Lean/Six Sigma or similar process‑improvement certification is considered an asset.
- On‑site presence is required to lead assessments, validations, and implementation activities.
