Employment Status Part Time Employment Type Fixed Term Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, EDIB, or designate, this position will provide basic assistance to CNC ARC and EDIB operations or various projects. The incumbent will be expected to apply the skills acquired during their post-secondary studies, training certifications, previous employee training, or new employee training to be delivered on-the-job at CNC.
Specific Duties
- Identify and develop foundational research and documents relating to EDIB and the ARC.
- Assist in developing and maintaining EDIB and ARC resource library.
- Research available information related to assigned topics.
- Assist with literature reviews and market research, as assigned.
- Assist in compiling and updating educational resources, toolkits, or guides for students and staff.
- Under the guidance of managers, assist with coordinating surveys.
- Assist in coordinating committees.
- Assist in coordinating the development of marketing materials.
- Under the direction of manager, identify and research education, workshop, and academic support opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and administrators on assigned topics.
- Participate in training related to equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusive leadership.
- Reflect on learning experiences and contribute ideas from a student perspective.
- Assist supervisor in organizing and implementing activities in support of student and staff engagement events.
- You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.
- You will promote a positive work atmosphere, communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect for students and colleagues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications

High School completion plus additional advanced courses.

Currently a student in good standing at a post-secondary institution. Preference to students who are currently enrolled in or have completed training or post-secondary studies related to education, social work, and other human service-related fields.

Less than 6 months Volunteering or working in a related area

Understanding of, and can contribute to, cultural safety

Understanding of, and can contribute to, anti-oppressive and equity-inclusive work environments

Ability to continuously contribute to a positive working team environment

Ability to maintain professional and constructive verbal and written communication

Able to efficiently use MS Outlook, Word and Excel
