This is a non-technical Sr. Project Manager position that demands exceptional planning, scheduling, and stakeholder management abilities, paired with deep expertise in content management and workflow orchestration. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the complete content lifecycle - from concept and creation through review, approval, and publishing, and will serve as the central point of coordination between creative, editorial, technical, and client teams. In this role, you will ensure projects are delivered seamlessly, meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards while driving efficiency and alignment across all stakeholders.
As the non-technical Sr. Project Manager, you will:
Act as the central hub between various client teams, and you will ensure seamless delivery of high‑quality projects on time and on budget.
Project & Timeline Management
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution and delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project plans, schedules, timelines, and milestones.
- Structure and manage detailed critical paths and work-back plans to ensure smooth execution.
- Track progress against key dates, proactively addressing risks, delays, and scope changes.
Content Workflow Management
- Oversee the entire content lifecycle: planning → creation → editing → review → approval → publishing.
- Map, document, and optimize workflows to maximize efficiency, quality assurance, and scalability.
- Coordinate with content creators, editors, translators, designers, and publishing teams.
- Manage digital asset organization and metadata accuracy for efficient retrieval and publishing across channels.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external clients, ensuring alignment at every stage.
- Facilitate regular status updates, project reviews, and feedback loops.
- Manage expectations on timelines, deliverables, and scope while maintaining transparency on project health.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with client and stakeholder teams.
Risk & Quality Control
- Identify potential bottlenecks in project execution and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all deliverables pass through appropriate review and approval processes.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, relevance, and brand consistency across all content.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Continuously analyze workflow performance and recommend improvements for speed, quality, and scalability.
- Implement project governance practices, including documentation, reporting, and compliance with agreed standards.
- Champion best practices in content project delivery and workflow management.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 5-7+ years’ experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years in content-focused projects.
- Proven success managing large-scale, global, multi-stakeholder projects in fast-paced, client-facing environments (agency experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of content workflows, from creation to publishing, across web, print, digital, and social platforms.
- Experience applying both traditional and agile project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or Trello.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical aptitude to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and navigate project complexities.
- Flexibility to travel or work outside standard hours as needed.
- PMP certification is an asset but not required.
