About the role
The General Manager in Training’s (GMIT) role is to train into the General Manager position. They will learn to operate the store and learn the correct methods in doing so. . The GMIT is responsible for the management of the store on their opening or closing shifts. During which, the GMIT will ensure the store is properly prepared for the rush, employees are performing effectively, image standards are met, service is fast and friendly, and all products are produced properly and quickly. The General Manager works hands on with the team making pizzas and building orders.
A uniform is provided. General Managers in Training are expected to be presentable by following Domino’s personal image and grooming standards, as well as lead by example by working with smart hustle and purpose.
Functions:
General Managers in Training are to work effectively within the store while learning the correct methods of managing a Domino’s location. While “running shift” a GMIT is expected to quickly and effectively:
- Produce quality products
- Service customers
- Ensure image of store to standard (cleaning)
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Ensure cash balances
- Prepare store for rushes
- Operate computer systems
- Ensure team and customer safety
- Ensure fast and friendly service is provided to all customers
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain others’ work performance
Qualifications:
All General Managers in Training must:
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Possess strong communication skills
- Fluently speak English
- Have experience with leading a team
- Be able to stand for several hours
- Possess strong cash handling skills (mathematics)
- Handle multiple responsibilities
- Be able to oversee multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
- High School completed
- Will need to be available and on call for the team.
- 40-50+ Hours may be necessary
