Senior Data Governance Analyst (SAP) - Onsite
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP master data resource to participate in the development of data governance procedures and policies at our world class facility in Ottawa, ON! You will have expertise in SAP master data management, and a deep understanding of data governance best practices.
Reporting to the Manager, SAP Master Data Governance, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving master data processes within SAP to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the organization.

Salary Range: $82,100 - $109,500 plus bonus opportunity

Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.
Your Challenge:
- Support the implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure high-quality master data
- Support continuous improvement in data quality, processes, and governance frameworks
- Participate in the creation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of master data in SAP (e.g., materials, vendors, customers, finance, BOMs, routings)
- Champion the establishment of controls and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Define and enforce data governance roles, responsibilities, and workflows across business units
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve data management efficiency
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for data-related issues
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align master data strategy with overall business objectives
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, finance, Engineering, quality, and IT, to improve data governance policies and practices
What You Bring:
- 4 years hands-on experience with SAP Master Data / Data Governance
- At least 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with a focus on data validation, and cleansing activities related to master data
- Proven experience in working within data governance team or function
- Experience with SAP modules and Fiori applications related to Master Data (MD) & Master Data Governance (MDG)
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to optimize work processes
- Strong analytical, communication, management and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Exposure to global SAP implementations or rollouts
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- SAP certification in Master Data (MD), Material Master (MM), Master Data Governance (MDG), or S/4HANA, is a strong advantage
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
