About the role
As a Dental Hygienist at TERRITORIAL DENTAL you will play a critical role in promoting good oral health. You will work closely with our patients to provide preventive dental care and educate them on maintaining healthy smiles. If you are a skilled and compassionate professional, this position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
- Examine patients' oral health by assessing their gums, teeth, and soft tissues.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as needed.
- Screen patients for signs of oral diseases, such as gum disease or cavities.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized home care instructions.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as necessary.
- Assist in creating treatment plans and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental hygiene and preventive care.
- Uphold strict infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current dental hygiene license.
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Proficiency in using dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Commitment to maintaining dental hygiene licensure through continuing education.
