Graham is actively recruiting a Pre-Construction Specialist to support the Buildings Division. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering pre-construction services by overseeing estimating and budgeting, schedule development, constructability, procurement, and the management of client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships from proposal stage through to contract award. The Pre-Construction Specialist works closely with the Business Development Manager to support proposal development and contribute to the overall business plan, leveraging a strong background in estimating.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Lead the pre-construction process from pursuit to contract award, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and internal approvals.
- Develop and manage project budgets, estimates, and bid schedules, ensuring alignment with design development, risk management, and pre-construction requirements.
- Coordinate and align cross-functional teams (estimating, design, procurement, business development, and consultants) to deliver integrated and competitive pre-construction solutions.
- Manage client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships, facilitating collaboration meetings and ensuring clear communication throughout the pre-construction phase.
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks, maintaining ownership of the risk register and supporting informed decision-making during proposal and pre-construction planning
The Right Tools for the Job
-**Education & Credentials:**Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical/business discipline; P.Eng, Project Management, or LEED certifications are considered assets. -**Experience:**1–5 years of experience in pre-construction, estimating, project coordination, or consulting within construction, engineering, or architecture environments -**Skills & Technical Proficiency:**Strong estimating and budgeting skills, working knowledge of design and construction processes, risk management, and stakeholder coordination, with proficiency in MS Office, BIM software, and Toolbox
Compensation
- Salary Range $75,000 to $105,000 per annum
- Compensation aligned to education and experience, ensuring fair and competitive placement
- Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience
