Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliableDock Supervisorto oversee daily shipping and receiving operations. The Dock Supervisor will supervise dock staff, coordinate freight movement, and ensure all safety and productivity standards are met.
Full time, permanent position
Shift: Nights - Sunday to Thursday from 9pm to 6am
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead dock workers during loading and unloading
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments efficiently Ensure accuracy of shipments and proper documentation Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety policies Schedule shifts and assign daily tasks to staff Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and management Monitor productivity and resolve operational issues Train new employees on procedures and equipment use
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2–5+ years of warehouse or dock experience Previous supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures Ability to operate forklifts (certification an asset) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
