  • Conduct a diverse range of sales transactions in person or over the phone. Such duties may include the responsibility of handling cash, processing payments through our POS system, and administering waivers.
  • Maintain a robust knowledge of programs, products, and events offered during all seasons, ensuring you’re well-equipped to communicate with guests effectively.
  • Effectively facilitate the set-up, delivery, and return of rental equipment, including skis, snowboards, and mountain bikes.
  • Thoroughly inspect rental equipment before and after each use, ensuring it is in proper working condition, removing it from our accessible inventory if not, before escalating the concerns through defined channels.
  • Complete time-sensitive administrative tasks that require daily monitoring, providing ongoing updates to Leadership Team Members.
  • Create a welcoming environment through actively engaging with guests, educating them on equipment usage, safety protocols, and best practices before providing them with equipment.
  • Manage guest flow to minimize congestion, reduce waiting times, and ensure a safe/efficient experience.
  • Maintain a well-organized and clean workspace, preventing/identifying hazards through appropriate channels, allowing for a smooth workflow for guests and Team Members.
  • Ensure uninterrupted services during breaks and busy periods by proactively coordinating with fellow Team Members to maintain coverage, assist with guest flow management, and step into key roles as needed to help with service delays.
  • Communicate professionally in ways that empower guests and Team Members.
  • Vary communication styles to best fit the audience, including the use of voice amplifiers when communicating to a larger audience.
  • Other duties as required

What Will You Bring

  • Current criminal record check.
  • Experience working with the public in a guest-facing role is an asset.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a variable schedule.
  • Must have open availability during the peak season of December 20th to January 4th.

What Will Your Working Conditions Be

  • Applicants may be hired for either Full-Time (32-40 per week) or Part-Time (16-31 per week) hours. Hours will be scheduled/allocated based on availability, with a preference given to candidates with more open availability.
  • This is an in-person role
  • Maintain a high level of positive energy throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift 25+ lbs. items.
  • Extended use of computer screens and keyboards.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snow, and wind.

What To Expect After Applying

  • This role is a temporary position for the 2025/2026 winter ski and snowboard season.
  • Applications close on Friday, October, 24th, 2025.
  • In-person interviews will be held between Friday, October 17th 2025 – Friday, October 31st 2025.
  • Successful candidates will begin in early November, with mandatory Team Member training being scheduled Saturday, November 15th 2025 and Sunday, November 16th 2025.

The Bill Warren Training Centre (BWTC) opened in January 1994. The facility provides fitness training and support services to Nordic athletes and the public. The BWTC is located at the Canmore Nordic Centre. It was the host site of the cross-country skiing and biathlon events at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games.
