Position Overview
We’re looking for anenergetic, professional, and customer-focused individualto operate ourScale Houseat our new Ottawa location. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring every interaction reflects our high standard of service. The ideal candidate brings a mix of confidence, accuracy, and organization — someone who can handle fast-paced days with a smile.
The wage for this position is $25 – $30 per hour depending on your skills and experience
####Key Responsibilities
- Greet drivers and manage weigh-in/weigh-out process
- Accurately enter vehicle and material data into the system
- Handle cash transactions and issue payment slips
- Maintain accurate digital records using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and external customers
- Keep the scale house clean, organized, and professional
- Support other yard or office tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in a scale house, dispatch, or administrative/logistics environment
- Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organization
- Professional, personable, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Dependable and safety-conscious team player
- Interest or background in recycling or industrial operations is an asset
