About the role:

Corus is looking for a full-time Systems Administrator to join our digital technology team. The successful candidate will be a skilled infrastructure / DevOps engineer who will design, operate and continuously improve our cloud- native infrastructure and production environments. This role reports into the Manager, Cloud Operations.

You will contribute by:

  • Operating and optimizing our video management platform

  • Managing and modernizing Linux-based web application stacks in AWS

  • Evaluating current architecture and driving reliability, scalability, and cost optimization initiatives

  • Designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks

  • Leading performance testing, capacity planning, and resiliency validation

  • Implementing security best practices aligned with cloud security standards

  • Supporting highly available, fault-tolerant production environments serving millions of users weekly

  • Managing CI/CD pipelines and automated release workflows

  • Supporting incident response, monitoring, and observability practices

  • Administering identity, access management, and role-based permissions

  • Supporting operational workflows through ticketing and documentation systems

  • Managing and operating AWS media services pipelines (MediaConvert, MediaTailor, MediaConnect, CloudFront) for FAST channel and VOD delivery

  • Supporting 24/7 linear streaming channels including ad marker configuration (SCTE-35/ESAM), HLS/DASH packaging, and server-side ad insertion (SSAI)

  • Managing multi-account AWS Organization with cross-account IAM roles, permissions, and governance

  • Building and maintaining serverless workflows using Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge for automated media processing

  • Performing Aurora PostgreSQL database administration including major version upgrades, parameter tuning, and performance troubleshooting

  • Investigating and resolving production incidents using CloudTrail, AWS Config, and CloudWatch Logs with documented root cause analysis

  • Managing S3 bucket policies, cross-account access, and CloudFront distribution configurations for content delivery

Skill and experience you will bring:

  • 3+ years working within DevOps/cloud
  • Strong AWS and Linux experience
  • CI/CD, automation, and cloud security knowledge
  • Experience with web stacks (Nginx/Apache, PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL)
  • FAST/linear streaming experience; Adobe Pass, Bango, LoginRadius, OneTrust; CIAM, subscriptions, and entitlement systems
  • Experience with the following technical stack: AWS, GCP (plus), Docker, ECS/EKS, Python/Bash, CodePipeline, Aurora/RDS, OpenSearch, Redis, CloudWatch/Grafana, WordPress, Jira/Confluence, Serverless (Lambda, SNS/SQS), Media/Streaming tech, AWS Organizations
  • Collaborating with content operations, engineering, and vendor teams on platform integrations and syndication requirements
