About the Position

Summary of Role
The Digital Marketing and Communications Manager provides organization-wide leadership for the planning, execution, and optimization of digital marketing and communications systems that support client enrollment, program visibility, operational efficiency, and community impact across all TIES programs and services. Reporting to the President and CEO, this role translates program and operational needs into clear, accessible, compliant, and effective digital communications.
The position is accountable for hands-on digital execution, website and platform governance, content strategy, campaign delivery, analytics, and the responsible use of digital automation and AI-supported tools. Success in this role is measured by improved enrollment outcomes, stronger digital engagement, enhanced operational workflows, and consistent alignment with funder, privacy, accessibility, and organizational standards.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy, Demand Generation and Client Enrollment
- Plan, develop, and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive enrollment across TIES and IRCC-funded programs, including LINC, Employment, Financial Literacy, Mental Health supports, Research initiatives, and other service areas
- Collaborate with program managers to align marketing strategies with program goals, intake cycles, and service delivery needs
- Identify and pursue new outreach opportunities, partnerships, and targeted campaigns to increase program participation
- Support client acquisition and retention through improved digital workflows, campaign targeting, and audience engagement
- Share responsibility for supporting enrollment growth and partnership development in collaboration with program leadership
Website, Digital Platforms and Systems Governance
- Manage and optimize the organization’s website ecosystem, including CMS platforms, forms, analytics, accessibility, SEO, and third-party integrations
- Continuously improve website performance and user experience using web, UX, and SEO best practices
- Manage social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube), ensuring consistent brand voice, engagement, and compliance with organizational standards
- Plan and execute paid digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads) within approved budgets and timelines
- Ensure all digital communications align with program guidelines, funder requirements, identity standards, and accessibility expectations
Digital Tools, AI Enablement and Operational Efficiency
- Leverage digital, automated, and AI-assisted tools to improve marketing effectiveness, reporting, and workflow efficiency
- Manage and optimize online forms, analytics tools, and CRM or intake systems that support client enrollment and lead tracking
- Maintain documentation and basic training materials for internal use of digital tools, automated workflows, and platforms
- Work collaboratively with IT to manage hosting, technical solutions, vendor relationships, and third-party productivity tools
- Ensure responsible, ethical, and privacy-compliant use of AI-supported tools in alignment with FOIP, PIPA, and accessibility standards
Content Development, Events, Fundraising and Partnerships Support
- Develop and implement a content strategy that communicates program value, impact, and accessibility
- Design and produce high-quality digital and print marketing materials, including videos, brochures, presentations, newsletters, social media graphics, and website assets
- Collaborate with program managers and media partners to amplify content and increase community awareness
- Support promotion of program-related events such as LINC Literacy Conferences, employment networking events, financial literacy sessions, and mental health initiatives
- Lead or co-lead communications and platform support for fundraising initiatives, donor cultivation, and corporate partnerships
- Manage and optimize online donation platforms (e.g.,CanadaHelps, Benevity, Keela) to ensure a positive donor experience
- Manage production of the annual report and monthly newsletters, highlighting program achievements and organizational impact
Operational Coordination and Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate timely dissemination of inquiries and digital leads to program managers for follow-up and conversion
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support ongoing marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Timely dissemination of inquiries/leads to program managers
- Managing communications with staff and volunteers for promotions
- Travel between TIES locations for presentations, outreach, or event support as required
- Perform other duties consistent with the scope of the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager role, as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring the required education and experience to enter the role, along with the professional judgment, communication capability, and systems-thinking needed to perform effectively in a complex, community-based environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Marketing, Web Design, Digital Media, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in digital marketing, website management, or related roles
- Demonstrated experience producing multimedia content for digital platforms; a portfolio of relevant work is considered an asset
Technical and Professional Capability
- Experience using AI-assisted and automated digital tools to support content development, marketing execution, analytics, and workflow efficiency, with attention to ethical use, data privacy, accessibility, and responsible application
- Experience building, managing, or improving automated workflows across digital platforms such as client relationship systems, intake forms, email marketing tools, or similar technologies
- Strong written, editing, and digital communication skills, with the ability to translate program, operational, and service delivery needs in to clear, accessible, and audience-appropriate content
- Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills
Professional Judgment and Awareness
- Creative, systems-thinking approach to problem-solving, particularly in the design and improvement of digital workflows, campaigns, and content
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive, confidential, or personal information
- Working knowledge of privacy and data protection legislation, including FOIP and PIPA, as it applies to digital communications and online platforms
- Understanding of accessibility principles in digital communications and content delivery
