The Opportunity: We’re looking for aReceptionistto join ourLifestyle Options - Schonsee teamon a part-time basis. In this role, you will support the administration department by managing front‑desk operations, coordinating building activities, greeting and screening visitors, handling calls and appointments, maintaining records, and providing backup support to the Site Administrator.
What you’ll do:
- Provide administrative support to all departments while maintaining consistent front‑desk coverage.
- Receive and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
- Greet and screen all visitors and residents, ensuring proper sign‑in and sign‑out procedures.
- Handle front‑desk financial tasks, including floats, balance reports, invoices, and basic bookkeeping.
- Process daily cash balancing and submit accurate financial records on time.
- Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping requests and enter work orders into Yardi.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
- Two (2) years of direct work experience in a receptionist or administrative capacity (required).
- Proficient computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
- Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization required.
- Prior work experience/demonstrated skills to work with seniors and their families is an asset.
- Superior telephone skills and manners plus strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
