About the role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Medical Services Supervisor to join our dynamic Medical Laboratory and Stem Cell Services team in our Medical Affairs division. Within Medical Laboratory and Stem Cell Services, the Medical Services and Hospital Relations team is responsible for supporting all medical activities, products, education, and utilization initiatives. The Medical Services Supervisor is a member of this team and contributes to the delivery of these core functions. In this role, you will work closely with the Medical Services team as required to provide support for Medical Services programs in accordance with all regulatory and Canadian Blood Services policies, procedures, and practices. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Medical Services representatives.Formula for success
Overseeing and leveraging your skills in team management, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of Medical Services Representatives to deliver high-quality support and service excellence. Recruit, onboard, and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leveraging your expertise in troubleshooting, you will function as the primary expert for operational processes, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Utilizing your organizational skills, you will coordinate and oversee administrative and scheduling activities that support Medical Services operations. Assessing existing workflows and leveraging your analytical thinking, you will ensure compliance with quality standards through reporting, auditing, and resolution of quality-related issues. You will collaborate with Quality Assurance and cross-functional teams to enhance processes, improve performance, and support organizational goals. Perform other related duties as required. Desired education and skills
Post secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a University Degree or community college diploma. Training in health-related fields is an asset. Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in process review, improvement, and development. Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising people/teams both remotely and in the office. Experience of working in a medical or healthcare industry would be an asset. Experience with participating in local/national working groups is an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. What we offer you

This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/days of the week. You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day. You may be expected to travel a couple of times per year, and as required.
