About the role
Sepal is seeking meticulous, detail-oriented individuals to participate in an image analysis and evaluation project supporting an AI research initiative. Engagement involves assessing, labeling, and scoring AI-generated image edits according to detailed rubrics. Participants will review how accurately AI models modify images based on written instructions. No prior experience in AI is required -- just strong attention to detail and experience with image editing and analysis.
SAMPLE TASKS
-Assess whether an image edit correctly removed or added an object as requested.
-Judge if a person’s face or background changed unintentionally.
-Compare multiple image completions to determine which best fulfills a user prompt.
-Detect subtle texture or lighting inconsistencies.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
-Exceptional attention to visual detail — ability to notice subtle differences between images.
-Bachelor’s degree or higher (any field).
-Native-level English fluency for precise written rationales.
-U.S. residency
-Access to a desktop or laptop computer and reliable internet connection.
-Ability to follow written instructions precisely and work independently.
-Availability for approximately 15-20 hours between October 10–24, 2025 (final timelines to be confirmed).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Background or familiarity with image editing, design, or photography.
-Experience with visual analysis, QA, or labeling work.
-Comfort with structured evaluation frameworks and digital tools.
COMPENSATION AND LOGISTICS:
-Hourly pay: $45-60 per hour, based on experience and fit, with bonuses based on performance & quality
-Generous completion and performance bonuses.
-Hours: up to 20 hours for initial screener; extension to longer-term projects based on performance.
Start Date : Between Oct 10-Oct 15
Contract type : 1099 independent contractor; engagement is at-will.
Location : Fully remote (U.S. / Canada only).
