About St. Michael’s School is seeking a 0.8 FTE K to 7 Physical and Health Education Teacher. Come join our dynamic, fun and engaged professional group of teachers who are dedicated to making a positive, lasting impact in each student’s life. Teachers are expected to organize games and challenges that promote physical activity among children from Kindergarten to Grade 7, as well as to support, promote, and help organize the school's athletic extracurricular program.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching physical education classes to children aged 5 - 12 as well as experience in coaching a variety of community sports. Candidates should have a valid BC Teaching Certificate and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Furthermore, candidates should have experience in classroom management and assessment.

All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
About Catholic Independent Schools Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA)
The Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese are group one independent schools, receiving 50% operational funding from the ministry of education. All schools teach the prescribed ministry of education curriculum. Teachers are paid according to the qualifications and years of experience. Teachers are also eligible for the Group Benefits Program that provides medical, dental, other extended health benefits, plus a defined contribution (DC) Group Pension Plan.
Teachers interested in making a career with CISVA should apply to the Superintendent's Office. Support staff, including Education Assistants, should apply directly to the individual schools.
