We are looking for a Application Support Specialist to join our Corporate- IT team in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the IT Manager , you will be responsible for application support with a primary focus on our property management and accounting software, Yardi, our tenant software, Property Vista, as well as SharePoint, Office 365 and our various information databases. The position will work as part of a team assisting Northview users with resolving day to day application issues and requests, as well as provide end-user training, process improvement and software implementation. Your technical knowledge and professional customer care skills will be central to your success.
Responsibilities

End-User Support: Provide remote and in-person technical support for client application issues via a ticketing system, email and/or phone, with a primary focus on Yardi

Issue Resolution & Escalation: Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 end-user support; collaborate with vendors and the team for the resolution of Tier 3 issues

System Administration:
-
Manage the administration and general support of all applications, including identifying and troubleshooting issues within system applications and reporting platforms

Provides end-user support by responding to questions and inquiries via ticketing system, email and/or phone

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with other teams to ensure accurate resolutions of issues

Training & Documentation: Provide application training and training materials as required, and maintain complete and up-to-date documentation necessary to support users

Process Improvement: Participate in projects to streamline, add or modify internal processes and policies, offering input on information technology improvements, services, policies, and procedures
Qualifications

Experience:
-
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
-
Prior experience in Yardi or other ERP platforms is highly desirable

Experience in database technology and/or experience in the Property Management industry is desirable

Education:
-
An information Technology, Accounting or Database-related degree or diploma, or equivalent experience
-
Technical Skills:
-
Experience with Microsoft desktop technologies such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Access

Experience in the implementation and management of Microsoft cloud technologies including O365 and SharePoint
-
Soft Skills:
-
Strong interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical details clearly

Strong desire to learn about the business and what it needs to operate effectively

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment

An understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to work with the accounting team
