You will lead the evolution of internal events from execution-focused activities into a strategic function that drives connection, collaboration, and engagement.
Working closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams, you will design scalable event strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
You will influence how teams gather through innovative formats, thoughtful experiences, and data-driven improvements.

Accountabilities
The Internal Events Manager will be responsible for developing and scaling a strategic approach to internal events, ensuring experiences are intentional, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals. This role will act as a trusted advisor to leaders while leading a team focused on creating high-quality employee experiences.
Own the internal event design strategy and consulting model, establishing frameworks for planning, designing, and evaluating virtual and in-person experiences. Partner with business leaders to understand objectives and translate them into engaging event formats, agendas, and experience strategies. Develop scalable event frameworks, standards, governance models, and planning methodologies to improve consistency and quality. Establish best practices for company gatherings, leadership meetings, onboarding experiences, training programs, department offsites, and employee events. Create structured processes that support effective planning, budget management, attendee engagement, and operational excellence. Provide strategic guidance on event architecture, facilitation approaches, stakeholder alignment, and experience design. Identify opportunities to improve employee gatherings through innovative formats, industry trends, and new approaches. Define and monitor performance metrics related to event effectiveness, attendee satisfaction, budget utilization, and business impact. Build visibility into the internal events portfolio, including priorities, resources, timelines, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with logistics and operational teams to ensure seamless execution while maintaining clear ownership across event functions. Lead and develop a team of Event Leads by setting priorities, coaching team members, and building a high-performing function. Support broader organizational initiatives through cross-functional collaboration and strategic employee experience programs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in event strategy, experience design, organizational development, or related fields, with the ability to build structured programs in complex and distributed environments.
8+ years of experience in event management, experience design, consulting, hospitality, organizational development, or a related discipline. 2+ years of experience managing and developing teams, with a proven ability to coach and inspire high-performing individuals. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex events, leadership gatherings, employee programs, or large-scale organizational experiences. Experience creating frameworks, operating models, processes, or programs from the ground up. Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and guide strategic decisions. Ability to translate business goals into meaningful, engaging, and measurable employee experiences. Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously. Experience balancing employee experience, operational constraints, and budget considerations when making recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities. Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and creating structure where needed. Experience working in remote-first, distributed, or high-growth organizations is highly preferred.
