We're hiring a Maintenance Technician - Production Equipment (Millwright) to keep our production equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role is for a hands-on technician who can troubleshoot fast, align precisely, and execute preventative maintenance that prevents breakdowns before they happen.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life
- Identify recurring issues and recommend fixes that improve reliability and performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspections, and repair documentation (CMMS experience is an asset)
- Support continuous improvement by collaborating with production to improve equipment uptime
Project Assistance
- Install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble industrial machinery (actuators, pumps, compressors, conveyors, production lines)
- Perform precise machine alignment and ensure equipment is running to spec
- Assist with equipment upgrades and station improvements (tooling, layout, guarding, reliability enhancements)
Continuous Learning
- Learn GreenFox equipment standards, maintenance expectations, and safety procedures
- Stay sharp on best practices for troubleshooting, alignment, and preventative maintenance
- Improve speed, accuracy, and consistency while protecting safety and quality
IT Support & Coordination
- Use troubleshooting tools and diagnostic equipment to isolate mechanical issues quickly
- Communicate parts needs, material shortages, and equipment risks early to avoid downtime
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors as required for repairs, service, and replacement parts
Qualifications
- Must live in the greater Edmonton area or be willing to relocate
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certification preferred
- 2+ years industrial equipment maintenance experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, drives, and conveyors
- Proficient with hand/power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience in maintaining CNC equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical schematics
- Skilled in machine alignment techniques
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and proactive approach to repairs
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work overtime/weekends as needed
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license with clean driving record
- Physically capable of strenuous work (lifting, confined spaces, etc.)
- Safety-first: knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation and strong compliance with safety programs
- Organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
