We are currently seeking a Senior Performance & Analytics Advisor to join our growing Strategy & Planning team. Reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Business Planning, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to evolving our business planning practices and advancing our strategic goals.
In this pivotal role, you will be the go-to expert for corporate performance measurement and analytics. You will build and maintain a centralized view of organizational performance, provide insights into what drives outcomes, and support leaders in making data-driven decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the organization, influence strategic initiatives, and help BC Ferries achieve its long-term vision.
The Role Reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Business Planning , you contribute v alue through key areas of oversight such as:
- Acting as the primary lead for creating and maintaining a centralized view of corporate performance against strategic KPIs (scorecard), tracking of performance and insight gathering on variances to targets ;
- Champion ing and support ing the creation of new strategic KPIs to support the stand up and tracking of progress for the organization’s strategic imperatives ;
- Conducting analyses related to company performance relative to expectation, understanding causes of variances and identifying opportunities to improve performance ;
- Support ing the creation of business cas e by acting as a bridge between operations and finance functions, supporting the identification of operational KPI; performance improvements and assisting in the translation of those into economic value to the company;
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelors Degree in any of Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Sciences and/or Business
- At least 5+ years working in a mid-to-large sized corporate environment
- At least 5+ years experience in overseeing and managing KPI performance for a business unit or enterprise. Th at include s :
- Experience designing and creating new Key Performance Indicators in response to business need
- Experience creating and supporting scorecards or other performance management frameworks
- Experience performing detailed analyses of KPI performance trends to identify root trend drivers, providing insights and recommendations on potential improvement tactics
