Accounts Receivable Freight Auditor

SUMMARY – Accounts Receivable Freight Auditor
Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
TransX Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Freight Auditorto join the Finance team in our Winnipeg head office. Reporting to the Director of Accounts Receivable and Cash Applications, the Accounts Receivable Freight Auditor is responsible for ensuring receivables are managed timely, and disputes are resolved effectively.

KEY ACTIVITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing audits to find resolution of dispute
- Root cause analysis of customer concerns
- Maintaining relationships with customers as well as team members within the company
- Ensuring timely collection of payments, with a focus on reducing past terms volume
- Set objectives for assigned portfolio
- Escalating non-payment customers to supervisor for resolution
- Preparations of adjustments for disputes
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Staying updated on industry and system changes
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Education
- High School Diploma – Required
- Post-secondary Education would be an asset
Experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in accounts receivables, auditing, and/or reconciliation – Required
- Proficient in MS Office suite applications
- Customer service experience – Preferred
- Great Plains experience – Preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong Time Management skills
- Effective email management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge within transportation industry – Preferred
