Duties and responsibilities include:
- First Aid – on-mountain guest injuries and WorkSafeBC-designated worker injuries
- Incident investigation
- Risk management
- Trail maintenance
- Public relations
- Opening and closing runs
- Side-by-side operations
- Search and rescue
- Lift evacuations

Required qualifications/skills:
- A valid and current first-aid ticket from an 80-hour first-aid course is required. Examples of courses accepted include:
- OFA 3
- NUEC 3
- EMR, PCP or higher license
- Australian Ski Patrol Association Certification
- New Zealand PHEC
- Wilderness First Responder
- If you are currently in the process of acquiring a valid first aid ticket, inform us within your application, and we will take it into consideration
- Advanced downhill biking ability
- Knowledge of Big White Bike Park is considered an asset
- Previous experience as a Patroller or First Responder is considered an asset

- April - Interviews begin
Please note: candidates who have not completed a first aid course prior to their interview may be at a disadvantage.

- May-June - Job offers are issued
- June 11 (tentative) - training begins

Big White Bike Park, British Columbia
Position duration:
Early June to Early September
Salary:
Training and starting wage - $20.50-$24.00/hr, depending on experience, with an additional $0.50 upon completion of training logbook.
Equipment allowances will be provided as bonuses once a full season is completed.

Big White Ski Resort is one big winter playground. Here, at Canada's largest totally ski-in/ski-out resort village, you'll find loads of deep Okanagan powder (25 feet annually), 16 lifts, 119 runs, and 1,354 hectares (3,345 acres) of skiable terrain for powderhounds of all ages and abilities.
Cross-country skiers and snowshoers can choose from 25 kilometres (16 miles) of Nordic and dog-friendly wilderness trails, while families can add tubing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, ice-climbing, horse drawn sleigh rides, and skating to their winter holiday.
