About the role
The opportunity This role represents an exciting opportunity to join and support the procurement team by contributing to the optimization of sourcing strategies and execution of sourcing processes for the enterprise.
Who You'll Work With You will work in collaboration with other procurement team members and SMEs to analyze, source, evaluate and select suppliers, managing ongoing relationships and contract management.
What You'll Do
- Recommend and execute cost reduction strategies, analyze the current category landscape, conduct market analyses, recommend short-term and long-term sourcing opportunities, lead/facilitate strategic supplier selection to optimize cost, quality, lead-time, service, innovation, risk and value.
- Responsible for running RFx sourcing events, support the negotiation process of contract pricing, terms and conditions; and facilitate the cross-functional contracting navigation process between SME, Legal, IT Info Security, Privacy Compliance and vendors.
- Optimize the supply base structure and develop effective relationships with suppliers associated with assigned category portfolio.
- Optimize and monitor critical metrics to assess and lead supplier performance including performance metrics, vendor risk assessment and mitigation, and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain necessary tools, templates, processes to support efficient sourcing in procurement and track performance of category portfolio and associated suppliers.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives in pursuit of total cost of ownership savings and enhanced service levels for the category portfolio.
- You will focus on executing strategic sourcing initiatives to implementing best practices in the category portfolio.
- Plan own work to meet given objectives and processes, influence team and peers.
- Develop and execute on a pipeline of savings opportunities with tracking of realized savings
- Track and report the performance of the category portfolio, as well as manage any modifications to the portfolio
- Support ad-hoc transactional, change management and contract management activities as needed.
- Ensure a collaborative process with all team members.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related discipline preferred
- Relevant work experience and track record in strategic sourcing of related categories
- Strong knowledge and experience of procurement and strategic sourcing processes and activities
- Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and management, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management for category portfolio specialized in Technology
- Contractual negotiation
- Project management capability
- Strong client service orientation
- Strong problem solving skills, business and financial acumen
- Excellent capability to negotiate, influence, make recommendations, facilitate decisions and organize work Ability to develop credibility and maintain relationships with all levels of management, business partners and vendors
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills leading to sound judgments/ decisions
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, organizing and change management skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Communication & Influence – influences and communicates well with a variety of audiences (internal and external)
- Strong knowledge of Procure to Pay tools
- Proven ability to act in an ethical and transparent manner
- Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite.
