Location: Mississauga, Ontario Duration: Contract

Detailed Description
5-10+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 75-80% of recent work focused on backend development Strong hands-on experience building NET Core backend services and RESTful APIs including designing applications from scratch Proven experience participating in the full SDLC design development testing deployment and maintenance for backend systems Experience with authentication and authorization including implementation of secure API endpoints eg token based auth OAuthOIDC rolepermission models Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores eg SQL Server PostgreSQL MongoDB Cosmos DB or similar including schema design performance tuning and query optimization Experience with message queuing technologies such as Kafka RabbitMQ or similar for asynchronous and eventdriven architectures Strong background in automated testing including Unit testing Integration testing and understanding and application of TDD practices Security testing experience mandatory including securing APIs input validation handling sensitive data and addressing common vulnerabilities eg OWASP Top 10 Practical understanding of CICD concepts and how code moves from development through testing to production even if not directly responsible for pipeline configuration Desirable Domain Platform Experience Experience with payment services eg credit card payments ACH digital wallets and understanding of PCI DSS or other payment security and compliance requirements Experience with cloud services any major provider AWS is a plus for application deployment and integration including managed databases message queuingstreaming services secret management secure storage and retrieval and application configuration and deployment Experience contributing to or working within CICD pipelines eg GitHub Actions Azure DevOps GitLab CI Jenkins for automated build test and deployment Skills Mandatory Skills : .Net Core, .NET Microservices, MongoDB Good to Have Skills : .NET Core WebAPI (Using MVC Core), AWS S3, Cypress Javascript Automation, Kafka, Microservices, PostgreSQL
