The project involves illustrating a children's book written in both English and Spanish, focusing on the journey of a child navigating two worlds. The visuals should be engaging, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive, capturing the essence of the narrative for children, teens, and young adults. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to a meaningful project that supports emotional and cultural development.
Deliverables
- Develop a cohesive visual style that aligns with the book’s themes and target age groups.
- Create full-color illustrations for each page, including cover art and interior spreads.
- Collaborate with the author to ensure illustrations accurately reflect the story’s tone and multicultural elements.
- Prepare artwork files for print and digital publication, adhering to industry standards.
- Revise illustrations based on feedback to achieve the desired final result.
Requirements
- Proven experience in children’s book illustration, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
- Ability to illustrate for diverse age groups, from children to young adults.
- Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, character design, and composition.
- Sensitivity to multicultural themes and bilingual content.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
