About the role

Job Summary Reporting to the program Manager, the Unit Clerk provides clerical, receptionist and communication functions for designated unit(s)/program(s), in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of Windsor Regional Hospital. The Unit Clerk complies with Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications Keyboarding skills – preferred

Computer literacy and knowledge of Windows based applications – preferred.

Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills – Required. Graduate of an approved clerical health care program – preferred.

Previous Clerical Experience – Preferred. Ability to communicate in French – preferred.

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

General good health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position

Education/Training Experience Grade 12 education or equivalent – required

Medical Terminology – required (will be tested)
