About the role
Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Post Office Manager to join our team at Pharmasave James Bay #130 in Victoria, BC.
The Post Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our Post Office. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven retail sales or store management track record. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily Post Office operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Manage and train Post Office staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Support a positive and engaging workplace
- Ensure Post Office staff present a proper image to the public in accordance with the company policy.
- Oversee Post Office inventory management and cashiering processes, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Maintain high standards of phone etiquette while handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Develop organizational systems to streamline workflow and improve overall productivity.
- Ensures all loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to company standards.
- Ensures procedures regarding parcel checks are adhered to.
- Collaborate with the front store sales team to enhance our market presence and drive Post Office sales initiatives.
- Assists with completing performance reviews of Post Office Staff in conjunction with the Front Store Manager.
- Carry out additional duties as delegated by the Front Store Manager and Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a retail or sales environment is preferred.
- Experience with Canada Post is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Efficient time management ability.
- Independent thinking and decision-making when dealing with issues related to customer requests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with cashiering systems and retail operations is advantageous.
- Experience in recruiting and training staff is a plus.
- Ability to manage conflict and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent product or service knowledge.
- Multitask and manage the demands of numerous clients at once.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Merchandising and retail experience are assets.
- Mature and cooperative attitude.
- Professional image including a name tag and proper grooming.
This position requires the ability to act upon tasks and goals outlined by management. Due to this position's sensitive nature, the successful candidate must provide us with a Criminal Record Check.
