About the role
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Fertilizer Terminal Coordinate on a permanent month basis on our Ag Solutions team.
This position is an onsite, located at our Fertilizer Terminal in Hanley, SK.
Are you a strong communicator with an eye for detail? This role will provide you the opportunity to put your skills to the test while providing strong customer service support to our fertilizer team and Co-op retails across Western Canada.
What you’ll do:
- Lead inventory management and shipment planning by negotiating freight rates, managing carrier and rail movements, coordinating blending activities, overseeing site documentation, and serving as the primary contact for inventory reviews—ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective fertilizer movement while minimizing demurrage, storage fees, and supply disruptions.
- Act as the terminal’s liaison by coordinating with local Co-ops, carriers, merchants, and operations teams to prioritize requests, resolve inquiries related to contracts, product availability, and shipments, and ensure efficient product movement aligned with retail needs.
- Oversee site administration and compliance by managing facility purchases, maintaining accurate inventory reporting and records, coordinating audits and weigh‑overs, administering third‑party inventory requirements, and supporting day‑to‑day office and operational activities to ensure audit readiness and efficient terminal operations.
- Manage carrier orientations and support the rollout and knowledge‑sharing of SiteDocs across FCL operations.
Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will work closely with a team of Fertilizer Specialists and will report into the Manager, Fertilizer Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, support and customer service.
The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions across the organization including the Ag Solutions team, local Co-op retails, supply partners and carriers.

Our Agro team helps to feed and grow Western Canadian communities by sourcing and distributing products and services to local Co-ops in the feed, crop supplies and fertilizer business.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:
- Have 6-9 years of operational, logistics or administration experience.
- Have a University Degree in Business or Agriculture (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Experience with truck/rail logistics and knowledge of fertilizer would be considered an asset.
