Kolk Farms Ltd. is actively seeking a qualified Administrative Accountant to join our team!

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

  • Process accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner

  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments

  • Monitor and record cattle receivables and maintain detailed records of cattle sales

  • Prepare and file monthly GST returns in compliance with federal regulations

  • Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines

  • Monthly availability required
    to perform payroll

  • Draft and maintain rental agreements in accordance with tenancy regulations

  • Full cycle accounting for some smaller companies

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Other administrative duties as required

Skills:

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)

  • Knowledge of payroll systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation

  • Knowledge of rental agreements is an asset

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or financial administration

  • Experience working in agriculture, property management, or a small business setting is an asset

Schedule: Minimum 30 hours a week. Opportunity to become a full-time position depending on skillset of selected candidate.
