We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst to join our Robotic Process Automation IT team! In this role, the successful candidate will be a highly analytical specialist, responsible for both business and technical analysis and quality assurance, focused on bringing efficiency and business value to various business teams throughout Equitable. Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you’ll do:

  • Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects and system requirements
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and develop strategies for enhancing and automating these processes
  • Work in projects integrating business process, business rules and business data with technology to drive operational efficiencies, and client service improvements
  • Engage and collaborate closely with our business partners, automation team members and other IT groups to successfully define solution design
  • Assess new automation opportunities and determine value back to the business
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of our business and products/services
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes
  • Document process flow diagrams, business requirements and process design documents

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong analytical ability to apply critical thinking and high attention to evidence-based details, and keen observation/reasoning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to clearly articulate complicated ideas, and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and partnership building skills; can reach out and engage a variety of individuals
  • Experience with process automation, workflow and associated toolsets is an asset. Such as Blue Prism and Power Automate.
  • Experience writing Process and Solution Design documents is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Your base pay will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and education. In addition to your salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award tied to business performance, plus a wide range of competitive benefits.
