Position Summary

The University of Denver seeks an experienced and strategic leader to serve as

Executive Director of Admissions & Enrollment for the Daniels College of Business. This role provides leadership for the College’s graduate admissions strategy while partnering with the University’s centralized Office of Admission to support undergraduate business enrollment goals. The position oversees recruitment, admissions, scholarship strategy, and enrollment planning across the Daniels program portfolio. The Executive Director collaborates with College leadership to align enrollment strategy with the College’s financial model and long-term growth objectives.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Executive Director leads a team responsible

for recruitment, admissions operations, financial aid coordination, and enrollment strategy. The role manages enrollment for a portfolio of MBA programs, specialized master’s degrees, certificates, and undergraduate business programs while working closely with central university partners.

The Executive Director of Admissions & Enrollment serves as a strategic partner

to the Dean and College leadership in shaping the Daniels College of Business enrollment strategy. The role contributes to long-term planning related to program growth, market positioning, and student demand across the College’s graduate and undergraduate portfolio.

The Executive Director aligns recruitment strategy, scholarship investment, and

market outreach with the College’s academic priorities and financial objectives.

Through data analysis, market intelligence, and enrollment forecasting, the

position supports decisions that influence program growth, class composition, and net tuition revenue.

Essential Functions

Enrollment Strategy and Planning

  • The Executive Director collaborates with the Dean, Associate Dean of Finance, and academic leadership to establish and achieve annual enrollment goals related to headcount, academic quality, and net tuition revenue. The role oversees enrollment forecasting, pipeline monitoring, and strategic planning that supports the College’s long-term enrollment and revenue objectives.

Graduate Admissions Leadership

  • The Executive Director oversees the graduate admissions process from inquiry through matriculation across the College’s portfolio of MBA programs, specialized master’s degrees, and certificate programs. The role works closely with academic leadership to ensure admissions decisions align with program priorities and student success outcomes.

Undergraduate Enrollment Collaboration

  • The Executive Director partners with the University’s centralized Office of Admission to support undergraduate business enrollment goals. The Daniels admissions team primarily contributes through recruitment events, yield programming, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the undergraduate business pipeline.

Scholarship Strategy and Yield Optimization

  • The Executive Director oversees scholarship strategy and allocation in order to support recruitment goals, improve enrollment yield, and attract high-quality and diverse candidates. The role works closely with financial aid partners and admissions leadership to ensure awards are distributed strategically and in alignment with available resources.

Recruitment Strategy, Marketing, and Market Development

  • In collaboration with the Office of Communications and Marketing, the Executive Director develops recruitment initiatives, explores emerging markets, and implements outreach strategies designed to strengthen the College’s competitive position in graduate business education.

Admissions Operations and Team Leadership

  • The Executive Director provides leadership, supervision, and professional development for the admissions and enrollment team, including the Associate Director and Assistant Directors responsible for recruitment, applicant engagement, and admissions evaluation. The role ensures efficient admissions workflows and a high-quality applicant experience.

Data Analysis and Enrollment Reporting

  • The Executive Director monitors enrollment metrics including application volume, conversion rates, GPA, test scores, diversity indicators, and yield outcomes. The role conducts post-cycle analyses and provides regular reporting to College leadership on enrollment performance and pipeline trends.

Institutional Collaboration and Policy Development

  • The Executive Director serves as a liaison with the University’s Office of Graduate Education and other central enrollment partners to strengthen policies, systems, and collaborative initiatives that support graduate and undergraduate enrollment success.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive understanding of graduate admissions and enrollment management processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyze enrollment data and translate insights into strategy.
  • Commitment to process improvement, measurement, and continuous optimization.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across academic and administrative units.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in admissions or enrollment management.
  • Demonstrated experience using data to inform recruitment and enrollment strategy.
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Slate.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in admissions or enrollment management with leadership responsibility.
  • MBA or master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in graduate business education.
  • Experience supervising professional staff.

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment.
  • Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

  • Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number

The salary grade for the position is 14.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its

good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
