Senior Security Specialist x3: On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Senior Security Specialist x3 for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with up to 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Senior Security Specialist x3 - Job Description: The project involves supporting the on-boarding of various Health Information Custodians to contribute to and view Electronic Health Records. The role includes performing security risk assessments, reviewing security documentation, and assessing the cybersecurity risk of service provider organizations.

Senior Security Specialist x3 - Responsibilities:

• Take a subject matter expert role in security risk management initiatives and provide security expertise.
• Analyze solution architectures to identify potential threats and recommend security enhancements.
• Present security materials to product and digital solution groups.
• Consult with teams to implement recommended security policies.
• Track security control implementation and manage Risk Treatment plans.
• Lead offensive security practices and guide teams on methodologies and tools.
• Contribute to the development of the security program.
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts with individuals or teams effectively.
• Implement tools and processes for information security risk management.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and legislative regulations.

Senior Security Specialist x3 - Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in conducting comprehensive security Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA) using NIST CSF, HTRA, and ISO 27001.
• Experience in risk management models for assessing and mitigating risk exposure.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies such as HTRA and NIST CSF.
• Experience in security architecture and IT management frameworks such as SABSA and CoBIT.
• Strong understanding of risk management concepts and lifecycle.
• Experience with information systems and security technologies.
• Experience in writing and presenting technical reports and risk registers.

Senior Security Specialist x3 – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Public Sector Experience.
• Knowledge of prevalent industry standards (ISO 27001/27002, NIST, CIS, COBIT).
• Professional certifications in information/cyber security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC).
• Experience with Threat modeling techniques such as STRIDE, PASTA, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience in motivating team members to achieve higher goals.
