##Opportunity
The Department of Communication in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications at MacEwan University has an ongoing need for one or more sessional instructors to teach our two Communication Law courses (I & II). Interested candidates who would like to review sample syllabi/course outlines can make that request by emailing Department Chair Iain Macpherson: macphersoni3@macewan.ca.
Applicants must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and possess specialized knowledge of Canadian law. Candidates need not be licensed or practicing lawyers; individuals with legal education, training, or professional experience in Canadian law are encouraged to apply, including law students, paralegals, and law clerks.
Post-secondary teaching experience is an asset but not a requirement; MacEwan University offers guidance and support to faculty in developing instructional skills and resources.
Please submit a letter of interest and curriculum vitae. Include which terms (Fall, Winter, Spring/Summer) you are available. At present, we have one section of Communication Law I (introductory, 100-level) available in the Fall ’26 semester and another in Winter ’27.
Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.
