As the Scheduling Assistant at Evergreen, you’ll play a key role in coordinating staffing for our long-term care, assisted living, and independent living communities. You’ll ensure coverage for planned and unplanned vacancies while delivering exceptional service to our teams and promoting a culture of safety, wellness, and respect.
About The Role
- This is a casual, hourly position.
We’re seeking a Casual Scheduling Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring our team members are supported through effective scheduling. From managing vacancies and sick calls to coordinating vacation requests and shift coverage, your attention to detail and ability to problem-solve will help us deliver exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate scheduling for team members, including shift swaps, vacations, and absences.
- Maintain accurate records in our scheduling and timekeeping system.
- Validate and review timecards to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Communicate scheduling updates promptly and professionally with team members.
- Support a culture of health, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- A high school diploma and completion of a Staffing Services Certificate (or equivalent).
- Minimum one year of experience in scheduling, preferably in long-term care or healthcare.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits
This casual position offers an hourly wage range of $27.00 to $30.00 and welcomes you into a warm, supportive environment where your contributions are truly valued and appreciated.
