Our Commissary Kitchen is the heart of our prepared foods operation, producing fresh meals, salads, soups, sandwiches, and specialty products enjoyed across all Summerhill Market locations.

We're currently looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Salad Maker to join our production team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare fresh salads and specialty prepared foods according to recipes and production standards
• Wash, chop, portion, and prepare vegetables, fruits, proteins, and other ingredients
• Accurately measure ingredients and follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality
• Package, label, and date products according to company standards
• Maintain production schedules and complete daily prep requirements
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation standards
• Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of ingredients and finished products
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health and safety procedures
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking inventory as required
• Support other kitchen production activities as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous kitchen prep, food production, salad, catering, or commissary experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality standards
• Food Handler Certification is considered an asset
• Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry products and stand for extended periods

All entry-level retail and kitchen roles begin at minimum wage ($17.60/hr). Pay is negotiable based on experience.
