We're seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing function, drive global purchasing initiatives, develop supplier partnerships, and build a high-performing purchasing team. Diverse customer base across multiple industries provides stability and long-term growth Opportunity to influence global sourcing strategy and supplier development Lead and develop an established purchasing team Work closely with leadership on cost reduction, inventory optimization, and supply chain strategy Collaborative manufacturing environment where Purchasing plays a critical role in business success What You'll Be Responsible For Leadership & Team Development Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team Establish accountability, continuous improvement initiatives, and professional development plans Support team workload balancing, escalation management, and operational continuity Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement Supplier Management Develop and execute cost reduction, benchmarking, and supplier re-sourcing projects Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, freight agreements, and long-term supplier contracts Serve as the primary point of contact for key international and strategic suppliers Manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and inventory risk Global Procurement Support the growth of international procurement operations and offshore sourcing activities Coordinate supplier qualification, onboarding, and relationship management processes Assess geopolitical, logistical, and supply chain risks associated with global sourcing Drive sourcing initiatives throughout Asia and other strategic global supply regions Lead trimester pricing reviews and negotiations with overseas suppliers Production & Operations Support Partner closely with Scheduling, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams Support material planning and purchasing requirements within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment Mitigate production risks through proactive supplier management and inventory planning Monitor long lead-time materials and forecast-driven purchasing activities

What We're Looking For

Experience 5+ years of progressive purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within manufacturing Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing purchasing or procurement teams Experience working with overseas suppliers, particularly throughout Asia Proven success negotiating international pricing, commercial terms, and supplier agreements Experience sourcing machined, fabricated, cast, or industrial manufacturing components Strong understanding of inventory management, long lead-time materials, and forecast-based purchasing Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field CSCL, SCMP, APICS/ASCM, or other supply chain certifications are considered assets
