**EIPS is recruiting a full-time Teacher (**0.64 FTE Jr. High 0.36 FTE Grade 1) at Lakeland Ridge. Assignment includes: Gr.789 Drama/Performing Arts, Wolves Theatre
Production Director, Gr.789 Social Studies, Science, Outdoor Education,
Recreational Fitness, Gr.1 Math, and Social Studies.
Candidate should have:

Jr. High Fine
Arts training and teaching experience,
-
Scripting, choreographing, stage-managing
and business operation experience,
-
Set design, lighting and sound experience,
-
Science of Reading,
-
Early Intervention Training,
-
First Nations, Metis and Inuit
knowledge and understanding in the classroom,
-
Training in diversity, equity, human
rights and mental health strategies to support all students
-
Vocal training
would be an asset
-
Large event coordination experience would be an asset
-
Restorative Practices training would be an asset
-
Collaborative Response
training would be an asset
-
Experience leading student GSA an asset
-
Experience
building relationships and learning from Elders and knowledge keepers would be
an asset
-
Class 4 Bus License would be an asset
Lakeland Ridge serves
approximately 700 students in kindergarten to Grade 9, with 33 teaching staff
and 10 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
-
First Aid training would be an asset
-
Experience and/or training with the Science of Reading
