Location: Mulmur, On, however rotations at our Orillia and Sundridge locations may be provided

Wage: $60,000/year

Reports to: Clinical Director/Assistant Clinical Director

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication and positive role modeling skills and a work style that embodies creativity and initiative.

The candidate will be assigned mentors throughout their internship with a goal of building their clinical skills to gain experience.

Areas of Learning

  • Clinical Leadership with a team of staff and students
  • Individual and family therapy
  • Clinical guidance regarding students’ needs and their therapeutic treatment plans
  • Physical and emotional safety of the students and staff
  • Report completion
  • Communication with parents and students
  • Contribute to research and evaluation activities

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Graduate degree in a relevant therapeutic field
  • Registration with a relevant professional association in progress
  • Demonstrated track record of working effectively with professional, collaborative groups
  • Proven ability to make and sustain excellent interpersonal relationships
  • Strong , flexible and results-driven style
  • Excellent demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Clear certification of Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check is required

Residential treatment for youth 13-19 struggling with addictive behaviours and frequently other mental health issues. Our program is comprised of four seamless phases: Wilderness, Residence, Transition & Aftercare. We are a family-centred program where wilderness, therapeutic, and academic programs come together in a unique, integrated treatment and education model grounded in best practices for addiction treatment for youth. We are a not-for-profit organization. We receive funding support from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care via the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (TC LHIN) for 29 beds, and we offer fee-for-service beds as well. We offer continuous intake and operate 365 days a year, 24 hours per day. Length of stay is variable. Pine River is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).
